よもや自分でもこれほど大規模なシリーズ記事になるとは思わなかった。勝手ながら掲載を延長し、二週目に突入したものの、他の記事が溜まっているので、今回を含めてあと３回で終了としたい。もちろん特段ネタが尽きたわけではないし、すでに５月までの記事は完成しているので大丈夫だ。

私が洋楽に目覚める発端になった曲がこれ。当時はLPレコードを近くのレンタルレコード店から借りて、ステレオにて聴いていた。レコードジャケットがまたカラフルなデザインで、それを眺めているだけで楽しかった。私が英語が好きになった瞬間でもあった。

どうでしょう。私がミーハーが入ってると言った意味が理解してもらえましたか？メジャー過ぎて知らない人がいないくらいの大ヒットソングばかりをお届けしました。日本でいうと歌謡曲の分野だが、それでもかっこいいし、耳に残るメロディばかりだ。やはり良い物や本物はずっと残るということが良くわかる。二週間限定でお送りすることになったが、あと２回でこのシリーズも完結する。まだまだ紹介し足りないが、こればっかりやってられないので、あとは機会があれば、折に触れて紹介していきたい。
