今週お送りしている洋楽特集の記事も４日目となった。今日は熟練の技が光る老舗バンド５組をお送りしたい。長い歳月、同じメンバーで音楽活動を継続するのは至難の業だと思う。時には方向性の違いから感性の衝突やメンバーの脱退、あるいはつまらぬ仲たがいで活動休止を余儀なくされるケースも多い。今日紹介するのは息の長い、世界中から親しまれ、愛される楽曲を提供し続けているバンドである。

さて、いかでしたか。少し７０年代が一部混ざり掟破りだったが、これは老舗が故の選曲である。しかし、名曲はいくら歳月を重ねても決して色褪せることはないし、飽きることもない。世代を超えて語り継がれて、後世に残っていくものなのだと彼らの歌を聴いて悟った次第だ。
